HYBRID MOTOR SYSTEMS

Hybrid motors use a combination of a liquid oxidiser and an organic solid fuel source.

Our motors are designed to use 8 gram Nitrous oxide cartridges as the liquid oxidiser and a solid fuel grain of your choice..

Solid fuel grains can be anything organic. From rolled brown paper, to wood or plastics.

The E-Match positioned inside the black powder pre heater grain, ignites the chain reaction.

The small black powder charge unleashes a furious high energy blast that ruptures the burst disk and signals the release of the N2o oxidiser through the gates of hell and into the combustion chamber.

The combustion chamber is the internal space of the solid fuel grain itself.

The internal lining of the chamber walls further feeds the raging inferno which is trying to find itself a way out.

The energy created is constricted by the small orifice in the graphite exhaust nozzle, in turn creating thrust.

This combustion sequence comes to an end when the N2o tank has been depleted.
