The TYPE 1-SF is our solid fuel rocket kit.

These air frames are designed for use with C type 18mm solid fuel rocket motors.

The kits can be built from aluminium to form the ‘Silver Bullet’ or from lightweight engineering plastics for higher altitude flights.

These kits do not require any extended knowledge and provide direct access to precision Sky Pearcer build quality and easy flying.

Something to consider is that the metallic airframe of the ‘Silver Bullet’ will not allow the use of a GPS unit, as the aluminium nose cone will effectively block out the radio waves and act as a faraday cage. The comparatively low apogee reached by the ‘Silver Bullet’ should provide a platform where by a GPS is not required, if flown with clear skies and maximum visibility.

However, the Type 1 -SF-ACET airframes are produced from Acetal which is a non-conductive, non-metallic engineering plastic, making it highly transparent to the radio frequency (RF) signals used by GPS satellites.
